    Gems are related to various planets and produce a balancing effect to counter specific diseases. Planets produce effects in humors, and gems, by their color and vibration, affects the human body. They absorb and reflect the planetary rays or vibrations. Different gems can heal various physical, mental and spiritual conditions. Mantra or sound therapy can calm, harmonize and balance all the elements on the physical, mental and spiritual realm. Aum is the first sound of the universe. According to yoga vani: "mantra is that which saves us from the workings of the mind. Thought or meditation vanishes with the stopping of mental activities.
